I just want to say a few words about this project. First, I must give great thanks to my investors- Harry A., Levi B., Jon C., Charles J., Sean S., and Gaylord T. My wife Sarah and I also invested an equal share. Without the investors, there would be not project.
I want to give my great respect and thanks to all of my martial arts instructors, but especially to Tuhon Dan Inosanto. Most of the action in the movie was generously taught to me by Tuhon Inosanto, and it is because of his guidance that I was able to train with so many other great martial arts instructors.
I am profoundly grateful to Master Ronnie Ricketts, who co-stars with me in this movie. He is an incredibly famous movie star in the Philippines, but he is as down to earth and real as it gets. He helped tremendously with production, as did his lovely wife Mariz. But even more astounding was the support he gave me through all aspects of finishing the film. Maraming Salamat Direk Ronnie!
Thanks also to the wonderful Andrea Del Rosario. She is a truly wonderful actress, and worked very hard to turn in a stellar performance.
Next, I want to thank all the others who participated in making this movie, and especially those who went above and beyond the call to ensure that we ended up with the best movie that we could possibly make. Thanks to our crew, actors, and especially to all the guys who flew to Manila to be part of the fight team endured extraordinarily difficult cirmcumstances, but came through like seasoned veterans.
I must single out Hui Kang of Video Life in Honolulu for his extraordinary contributions in production and post production. Thank you Hui, and thank you to everyone who put in so much time and effort.
I am proud of this movie for a few reasons. First, the story is very good, filled with action, humor, and drama. Second, I am proud because we were able to make a quality movie on an exceedingly low budget. And third, I am proud because when the going got very, very tough, many, many times, I did not quit and those around me did not quit. The team stayed intact and pushed through, despite two typhoons during shooting, many people trying to steal our funds, countless technical problems, and various other obstacles that came up day after day. We never quit, and now we have a fun, enjoyable movie for everyone to watch.
